My name is Lisa Kjelstrup and I am the broker/owner of United Country Montana-Dakota Real Estate in Glendive. I have been involved with real estate since 2008 and am licensed in Montana and North Dakota. Our office operates as a team and we pride ourselves on staying ahead of the competition with our forward-thinking attitude and willingness to try new things.
I am married to Tory Kjelstrup who is the Supervisor of Roadway Equipment for BNSF Railroad. We have two children Faith, who is a deputy district attorney for Douglas County in Omaha NE, and our son just graduated from Dawson County High School and is attending Montana State University.  I have been actively involved in several community groups such as Rotary, Kiwanis, and Abate. We enjoy several outdoor activities provided by our Eastern Montana countryside such as taking a bike ride on the Harley - boating and agate hunting in the Yellowstone River - camping, tubing, and fishing at Fort Peck Lake - hiking the trails in the Badlands at Makoshika Park. I take pride in my accomplishments of coming to Glendive with practically nothing and building a successful real estate office and team. I have accomplished this by working long hours and dedicating myself to bettering myself as a real estate agent and looking for the next best thing to bring to our office to benefit our clients such as becoming a licensed drone operator for aerial photos and now virtual tours. I have been through the good with bad financially and offer my empathy, experience, and knowledge to take you on the journey of buying or selling your next home or property. After receiving my business degree at Dickinson State University in North Dakota, I moved to the beautiful Evergreen State of Washington. I worked for an elite mortgage company in Seattle for 11 years, where I gained a strong knowledge base and the skills needed to advise clients through the buying and/or selling process. While working in the lending industry, I decided to optimize my proficiency and acquired my real estate license in 2005. Jennifer Jones Associate Broker

I may be relatively new to real estate but I am not new to Glendive! I was born and raised here, attended the local community college after high school, and earned a degree in small business management. I met my husband, who was also raised here, and we have 5 beautiful children ranging from ages 14 to 20. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to raise my kids in this small community. Things are at a much slower pace in Glendive and neighbors watch out for each other. Having five kids keeps my family busy with all of their activities. You can always find us on the sidelines cheering for our kids or the home team. Whether it's a sporting or church event, celebration, or fundraiser the town always comes together to show their support. I chose United Country because the office is active in community fundraising and extremely family-oriented. My family and I enjoy camping by the Yellowstone River so we can throw in a fishing pole or hop on an intertube and take in the sunshine on a lazy river float. Winter months are filled with school activities but when I find the time I love to cuddle up in front of the fireplace and enjoy a good series on Netflix. We have recently found a new interest in hiking or walking in Makoshika Park and taking in the natural beauty Glendive has to offer.

As a Glendive native I know this town well since I was born and raised here. I attended and graduated from our local high school and community college. After college I worked for a few years then made the decision to move to Billings, MT for a few months to attend school to become a Nail Technician. My husband is a Glendive native as well. He has been working in the oilfield business for 13 years, since he graduated high school . Our roots are here in Glendive and we know this town will be our forever home to raise our 2 children in. You can find us watching our son, Brody, play basketball, baseball, soccer, or attending wrestling meets, while our daughter, Emma, enjoys dance classes and gymnastics. One of our favorite things to do in the summer as a family is go camping at the lake. Our family ranch has our hearts as well.
